College Spending Spree

College Spending Spree

Posted by Jack Machacek on Jun 21st 2019

There are a few definitive characteristics that are commonly applied to the average college student: curious, determined, mature, but most of all, broke. Just for the moment however, we’re going to just use our imagination which we invite you to do as well, and ask the question that’s on just about everyone’s mind: “How would a college student spend $200 at fargostuff?” Given that we are already in the imaginative mentality, we decided that rather than research the topic, we would just get in the college mentality. After riding a longboard, getting four hours of sleep, eating a bowl of ramen, and other generic college activities, we think we have found an objectively absolute answer to this overwhelming question.

The first choices would be based on practicality and use during college. These picks include a personalized Leatherette Portfolio for notes, schedules, etc. and an Eco-Friendly Travel Mug (Made from recycled Coffee Waste). At this point coffee is kind of a necessity, and drinking it from a mug crafted from coffee waste is as good as it gets. These two products even match pretty well…

Once we snagged some college goodies (above), we focused mainly on apparel. As much of a necessity as these previous items could be, the next two are possibly even more important in this area’s climate. Thinking ahead to the harsh winter, we selected the Fargo stocking cap as well as some mittens to go with it.

Lastly, the remaining dough was funneled into likely the most important stuff, stylish and casual apparel. This includes a Fargo Theatre Tee, a You Betcha Hat, and a ND Compass Crew Neck.

These products add up to a grand total of $192.25, just below the $200 mark. With sales tax, it might be more, but as previously states we are imagining an idealistic scenario, and if a college student has money, there might as well not be sales tax. This has truly been a fun and stimulating thought experiment. Thanks for reading!
